Filhos de Santos - Groupo De Capoeira, Cairns and Brisbane Capoeira Academy of Queensland, Australia

Established by Mestre Mundinho, Filhos de Santos has kept the spirit of Capoeira alive in Cairns for over 12 years and Brisbane for 1 year. Mundinho has spent most of his life dedicated to the practice of Capoeira with over 30 years experience, he has taken up a legacy to teach the traditional methods of Capoeira here in Australia (the way it was taught to him).

Filhos de Santo's main focus is to reach a level of cultural awareness with its practitioners by further enriching ones training by not only practicing the art from in a traditional manner but by also exploring the history that surrounds this ancient art form.

Filhos de Santo’s is a community focused group that is willing to help any events that help promote cultural awareness and development of youth. Filhos de Santos has been involved in programs including the Croc Festival, Youth Justice Program, teaching at local schools, programs and numerous community events.

We invite anyone who is interested in taking up Capoeira to try it out for themselves. Whether your 8 years of age or 80 years of age. Capoeira is for all shapes and sizes not requiring any predetermined levels of fitness or flexibility.
